I am a clinical psychologist offering long- and short-term psychotherapy to adults, children and families who are experiencing emotional, psychological or relationship difficulties, or who simply want to embark on a journey of personal growth.

My approach to therapy is holistic, meaning that we should always keep physical, mental, social and spiritual factors in mind. I work from a variety of therapeutic perspectives – including psychodynamic, narrative, cognitive behavioural (CBT) and play therapy – and tailor my approach to each client’s needs.

I assist clients to manage the following concerns:

  • Depression, anxiety and other mood disorders
  • Trauma (eg exposure to violence or sexual abuse)
  • Loss and bereavement
  • Personal growth and existential issues
  • Phobias
  • Sexual and gender identity dilemmas
  • Intellectual disabilities

In addition to the above, child and family therapy also covers:

  • Managing ADHD
  • Behavioural difficulties
  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • Cognitive and emotional assessments
  • Parenting sessions

I am fully bilingual, and offer therapy in both English and Afrikaans.

I earned a Clinical Masters degree at the University of Stellenbosch and a Masters degree in Psychological Research at the University of Cape Town, and have spent the past seven years enriching my practice as a therapist by remaining involved in community work, research and academia.
