Being human means facing a life with painful moments. Whether you’re searching for a way through the pain, are learning to live with a mental illness, or are yearning for a meaningful existence, we can walk the road together. I offer adult and couples psychodynamic psychotherapy, focusing on self-insight, growth, and healing.

After working for years in the language editing, copywriting and mental health journalism fields, I realised I was missing a sense of meaning and fulfilment in how I had chosen to spend my days. Years later, I am grateful for changing course and following my enduring passion for the human psyche, and the ability I trust we all have to learn and to change. I believe that we are shaped in complex ways by our experiences, and that we can find relief from suffering through psychotherapy.

I completed my Master’s degree (cum laude) in Clinical Psychology through the University of Pretoria, and – over the last few years – have worked with patients at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital, 1 Military Hospital, Itsoseng Community Clinic, Rahima Moosa Mother & Child Hospital, Tara Psychiatric Hospital, and Leratong Hospital.

While I work with general mental health conditions, I have a special interest in providing therapy to adults and couples for the management of:

  • Psychotic disorders
  • Personality disorders
  • Dissociation
  • Medically unexplained physical problems (somatic disorders)
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Medically unexplained sleep problems
  • Loss / grief
  • Death-related concerns
  • Suicidality
  • Sexual difficulties
  • Relationship problems
  • Personal growth
  • Existential / meaning in life concerns
