There is a wide range of different ways of doing therapy. I believe that the type of therapy used is largely dependent on the personalities of both the person seeking therapy, and the therapist. Because of this, I am open to a wide range of therapeutic approaches however I generally tend to understand my patients from a psychodynamic orientation.
Psychodynamic therapy involves working from the roots of entrenched patterns of ways of being. Psychodynamic therapy usually requires a longer duration of therapy sessions, but tends to result in more long lasting effects.
