I am an HPCSA- registered Arts Therapist, specialising in Music Therapy and Art processes.
I obtained my Masters in Music Therapy at the University of Pretoria in 2003 and have a three-year post Masters specialization in Guided Imagery, the Bonny Method (BMGIM) from Institut Imago in Munich.
I am a MARI Practitioner (Mandala Research Instrument), which offers symbol and colour as a language for exploration.
I hold a post-graduate certificate in Trauma Counselling and Crisis Debriefing from UNISA.
I have been offering Music Therapy in private mental healthcare settings as part of the therapeutic programme, since 2009, specifically with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, ptsd and grief.
I also offer debriefing sessions in groups for companies as well as wellness sessions in groups as part of teambuilding.

The non-verbal and verbal qualities of music and art offer alternatives to conventional verbal processes in cases where individuals find it hard to verbalise their feelings or have been silenced by depression, anxiety, trauma, ptsd and grief.
The language of symbol and sound offers a projective screen for unexplored emotions and an outlet for expression and exploration.
No training in music or art is needed to benefit from Music Therapy as there is no right or wrong.
Music Therapy is strengths- based, focusing on health as opposed to illness.
It does not matter how depressed, anxious, stressed or traumatised the client presents, they can still participate and communicate through rhythm, melody, harmony, symbol and color.
The Music Therapy experience takes place in a safe, contained space where my aim is self- expression, exploration, restoration and for clients to leave with a different perspective on their situation or life journey.
The Music Therapy experience is potentially psychodynamic or transpersonal, depending on the individual and their specific needs.

My private practise for individual sessions is in Irene, Centurion.
Cost: R700/ 90- minute session which includes:
Pre-Talk and Setting of Intention
